Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to score as Celtic defeated Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 to lift the Scottish FA Cup and complete another successful season. Fresh from securing the Scottish Premiership title last week, the Nigerian forward celebrated his second trophy with the club after playing an important role in the cup final victory at Hampden Park.

Celtic took control of the match in the first half, with goals from Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels giving Martin O’Neill’s side a comfortable lead before the break. Iheanacho was introduced in the 58th minute and quickly made his presence felt, scoring just 15 minutes later to extend Celtic’s advantage to 3-0.

Dunfermline Athletic managed to pull one back in the 80th minute through Josh Cooper, but the goal was only a late consolation as Celtic comfortably held on for victory. This triumph marked Celtic’s 43rd Scottish Cup title and capped off an impressive finish to the campaign for Martin O’Neill’s men.

Iheanacho also ends the season in strong form, contributing nine goals and one assist across all competitions.
