Tottenham Hotspur Shows Interest in Sassuolo Defender Tarik Muharemovic

The Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly keen on acquiring Tarik Muharemovic, a 24-year-old defender from Sassuolo. There have been substantial links to the Bosnian player, and Sassuolo may be open to a summer sale.

Recent reports suggest that Giovanni Carnevali, the CEO of Sassuolo, traveled to London for discussions about the young defender. He has confirmed this information in an interview with TMW.

“Fortunately for us, it’s not just Muharemovic. It’s normal to have relationships with foreign clubs too. There’s no point in hiding it. We’ve been to London, we’ve spoken to a few clubs, and we’ll see what happens in the next few days.”

While he did not specifically confirm discussions with Tottenham regarding Muharemovic, it seems likely that the north London club has explored the possibility of a transfer.

Tottenham is aiming to strengthen their defense, and the 24-year-old could be an ideal addition. He has demonstrated his capabilities in Italy, making this summer an opportune moment for him to advance to a larger club.

Additionally, there has been speculation about Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven potentially leaving the club this summer, signaling the need for quality replacements. As a Bosnian international, Muharemovic possesses the talent to succeed in the Premier League and could serve as a valuable long-term investment for Tottenham.

For the young defender, the chance to join Tottenham might be compelling. His physicality suits English football, and he is likely to develop further with professional coaching and experience. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can reach an agreement with Sassuolo in the coming weeks.

As they prepare for their last match of the season today, Tottenham hopes to secure their position in the Premier League. Achieving safety could assist them in attracting quality players like Muharemovic.
