Pitso Mosimane is reportedly set to join Kaizer Chiefs, marking a potential return to the coaching scene after more than a year without a club. The former coach of Bafana Bafana, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Al-Ahly is said to have signed a three-year deal at Naturena.
Before this move, Mosimane had been without a position since leaving Iranian club Esteghlal FC. His coaching career boasts significant achievements, notably winning the CAF Champions League titles with both Sundowns and Al-Ahly.
Despite experiencing setbacks during his stints in Saudi Arabia and Asia, Mosimane has remained a sought-after figure in football. Recently, he declined an offer from the Ghana Football Association to lead the national team for next month’s World Cup qualifier.
As Kaizer Chiefs prepare for the upcoming season, they are expected to part ways with co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Ben Youssef Khalil, paving the way for Mosimane’s anticipated arrival.
