He got banned in September 2023 for failing a doping test and was initially given a 4 year ban which was later reduced to 18 months after a successful appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), Pogba’s ban was reduced to 18 months.
Following his positive doping test, Pogba’s contract with Juventus was terminated mutually on November 15, rendering the 31-year-old club-less.
This means that the former World Cup winner has a chance to find a new club and once again show his tekkers on the ball.
But the France international is limited by his choices as he can only sign for sides in Major League Soccer, whose window closes on April 23, or in Japan’s J1 League, whose window closes on March 26.

Comeback to Elite football
Sources have told that Pogba is prioritising a return to one of Europe’s major leagues, although he is also open to many different options and has spoken to Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham.
Pogba is eyeing a place in France’s 2026 World Cup squad and believes that finding a club in Europe, preferably in the Champions League or the Europa League, would be the best route to doing so.
Pogba, only 31 years old, can make a comeback to elite football as well if he shows utter dedication to football.
Pogba who has played for Juventus, Manchester United and the French National Team has world renowned skills but now his will to play will matter as it would be hard to find a great club at once for him.
The French international was also dropped by Jose Mourinho during his time at Manchester United as he had some issues with his discipline.
