In the SAFF Under-17 Championship held at the Race Course International Stadium in Colombo, India’s Under-17 men’s team achieved a remarkable victory against the Maldives in their first match of Group B. India won the game with an impressive score of 6-0.
Displaying attacking football throughout the match, the Indian team dominated from the start. Dallal Mum Gangte scored two goals, while Hrishikesh Charan Manavathi, Kanguhavo Dungal, Wangkherakpam Gunleeb, and Asim Parvez Nazar each added one goal.

India broke through the Maldives’ defense multiple times with strong forward play and accurate passes. Wangkherakpam Gunleeb not only contributed with several assists but also scored a goal. Gangte scored from a penalty, and substitute Asim Parvez Nazar capped off India’s decisive win with a header.
