In an exciting Champions League group stage match, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Barcelona 2-1 with a dramatic late winner from Gonzalo Ramos. Despite missing key players, the current European champions showed their ability to succeed under pressure at the Olympic Stadium.

Ferran Torres scored the first goal for Barcelona in the 19th minute, thanks to a brilliant attack involving Pedri, rising star Lamine Yamal, and Marcus Rashford. However, PSG equalized before halftime when 19-year-old Senny Mayulu calmly finished a pass from Nuno Mendes, who had surged up the left wing to beat goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.

The second half saw both teams exchanging possession and creating scoring opportunities. Mendes once again troubled Barcelona’s defense, while Yamal showcased his talent in duels with PSG full-backs. Hakimi and Dani Olmo approached the goal, but the match remained level after Kang-In Lee hit the post. In the 90th minute, PSG secured victory when Achraf Hakimi’s cross broke through Barcelona’s defense, allowing the onrushing Ramos to score past Szczęsny with a cool finish. This win left home fans in silence and gave PSG two victories from their first two matches in the new league format.
