Former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to become the new head coach of Luton Town. This marks his first full-time senior management role. After successful talks with the club over the weekend, the 33-year-old Wilshere has signed a contract and will be introduced at a press conference on Monday.
Wilshere takes over after the departure of Matt Bloomfield, who left following a 3-1 loss to Stevenage earlier this month. Luton Town is currently in 11th place in the league. Since retiring from playing, Wilshere has been steadily building his coaching career. He coached Arsenal’s U18 team and joined Norwich City as a first-team coach in October 2024. In his last stint at Norwich, he managed the last two matches of the season, securing a draw against Middlesbrough and a win over Cardiff City.
