Kannur: A run was organized under the slogan “Run with Warriors” by KIMS Sree Chandra Hospital, in collaboration with the Kannur Warriors Football Club. The event began at 7:30 AM on Sunday from the Jawaharlal Stadium in Kannur. Manuel Sanchez, the head coach of Kannur Warriors FC, flagged off the run, joining the participants with enthusiasm. Over 500 athletes from various parts of the state took part in the 5-kilometer event.
In the men’s category, Nabeel Sahi from Thamarassery, Kozhikode secured the first position. Sandeep V.K. from Vaduvanchal, Wayanad came in second, while Shiva from Anchal, Kollam took third place. In the women’s category, Shilpa from Kuttayi, Kozhikode clinched the first spot, with Jinsi and Ranjita from Kollangode, Palakkad finishing second and third, respectively. Winners received cash prizes, certificates, and medals. All participants were also provided with certificates, medals, and refreshments.
The management of KIMS Sree Chandra Hospital announced that all participants in the Run with Warriors will receive a 50% discount on full-body check-ups, along with a free diet plan for themselves or their families.
The event had notable guests including Dr. Dilshad T.P., Dr. Krishnakumar, Dr. Sajan Mohanraj, Dr. Muhammad Shafiq A., Dr. Munis Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Sandeep V.S., Dr. Hidesh Ramakrishnan, and the organizing committee convener M.K. Nasar.
