Arsenal secured their fourth consecutive win in the UEFA Champions League by defeating Czech team Slavia Prague 3-0 at their home ground. Arsenal currently holds the top position in the group stage, having not conceded a goal so far. Despite their physical play, Prague could not stop Arsenal’s attacks. After a handball in the corner, the referee awarded a penalty to Arsenal following a VAR check. Captain Bukayo Saka converted the penalty in the 32nd minute, giving Arsenal the lead.
With this goal, Saka became the first player to score in four consecutive Champions League matches for Arsenal. In the second half, Arsenal scored their second goal just 30 seconds after kick-off. Mikel Merino, substituted in for injured striker Viktor Gyökeres, found the net with a well-placed finish from a Trossard pass. In the 68th minute, he headed in his second goal and Arsenal’s third following a pass from Rice. Additionally, Arsenal’s 15-year-old substitute Max Douman set a record as the youngest player to compete in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Napoli played to a goalless draw against Frankfurt in another match.
