Aston Villa has reached an agreement to extend the contract of young midfielder Morgan Rogers, providing a significant boost to the club. The 23-year-old Rogers will remain with the team until 2031. His previous contract, which was set to expire in June 2030, has been extended by one year.
Rogers will also receive a significant salary increase with the new contract, making him one of the highest-paid players at Villa. Since joining Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in February 2024, Rogers has become a key player under coach Unai Emery and has regularly featured in the England national team under coach Thomas Tuchel.
Developing through the youth systems of West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City, Rogers has shown impressive performance with 18 goals and 20 assists in 85 matches for Aston Villa.
