Tottenham striker Randal Kolo Muani will miss the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches for France due to a fracture in his collarbone. The 26-year-old sustained the injury during a Premier League match against Manchester United. On Sunday, the French Football Federation announced that Florian Thauvin has been called up to replace him.
This injury means Kolo Muani will miss at least two qualifying matches, affecting France’s attacking lineup as they prepare for crucial games. He had to leave the pitch during the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, after suffering the injury at halftime. Medical tests later confirmed the collarbone fracture.
Florian Thauvin, a 2018 World Cup winner and winger for Lens, is returning to the national team after a six-year gap. He last played for the French squad in October.
