Madrid: Atlético Madrid coach Diego Simeone’s son, Julián Simeone, is in the final stages of extending his contract with the Spanish club until June 2030. This season, Julián has won the ‘Man of the Match’ award three times. After impressive loan performances with Real Zaragoza and Deportivo Alavés, he returned to Atlético in 2024 and has become a key player, contributing goals and assists.
Currently, he receives a relatively low salary for his role in the team. Thus, a significant salary increase is expected in the new contract. The 22-year-old Simeone also plays internationally for Argentina and is anticipated to be an important part of their plans for the 2026 World Cup.
