Malappuram: Malappuram Football Club has appointed youth coach Shareef Khan as the technical advisor for the team. With extensive experience as both a player and coach, Shareef Khan will help strengthen the club’s football structure. He holds an AFC A coaching license and is a resident of Malappuram’s Valanchery. As a technical advisor, he will be crucial in player development and shaping training strategies.
Shareef Khan began his coaching career in 2015 and has served as the coach for both men’s and women’s teams as well as the reserve team at Gokulam Kerala FC. He has also worked with prominent clubs such as Kerala United FC, Kerala Blasters Women’s Team, and Sethu FC. Under his guidance, Gokulam Kerala won the Indian Women’s League in the 2018–19 season and the I-League in the 2020–21 season.
