Manchester United is set to sign 17-year-old Colombian midfielder Cristian Orosco. The young player from Fortalezas will arrive at Old Trafford in the coming days to finalize the deal. United will pay $1 million (approximately ₹8.3 crores) for a contract that takes effect in June 2026.
This defensive midfielder, who is the captain of Colombia’s U17 team, stands at 178 centimeters tall and has shown strong skills in regaining possession of the ball. He has played 13 times for the Colombian U17 team. Although he joined Fortalezas this summer, he has not yet made his senior club debut, but he caught the attention of United’s scout, Giuseppe Antonasio.
This move is part of United’s strategy under recruitment chief Jason Wilcox to bring in young talent with lower risk.
