Goals from Brison Fernandes in the 20th minute and David Timor three minutes later put Goa ahead, capitalizing on mistakes from Mumbai’s defense.
In the second half, Mumbai City fought back strongly. Lalienzuala Changte missed a penalty, but they managed to score in the 59th minute through Brendon Fernandes. However, goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari made crucial saves to keep Goa’s lead intact. This marks FC Goa’s third consecutive appearance in the Super Cup final.
The final is scheduled for December 7, where East Bengal reached after defeating Punjab FC 3-1.
