Leeds United and Liverpool played to a thrilling 3-3 draw in a Premier League match at Elland Road. After initially leading by two goals, Liverpool, managed by Arne Slot, faced disappointment with this dramatic outcome.

Both teams struggled to score in the first half, which ended goalless despite Liverpool controlling over 61% possession.

In the 48th minute, Hugo Ekitike scored the first goal for Liverpool, finishing strongly after receiving a precise pass. This was his fourth goal of the season. Just two minutes later, with an assist from Conor Bradley, Ekitike struck again, securing the goal after VAR review and putting Liverpool ahead 2-0.

Leeds, sitting in 17th place, aimed to maintain their confidence after a recent win against Chelsea. In the 73rd minute, they were awarded a penalty after a foul by Ibrahim Konaté on Wilfried Gonto, leading to Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring his fourth goal of the season and bringing Leeds to 2-1.

Shortly after, in the 75th minute, Anton Stach equalized for Leeds with a well-placed shot from inside the box, scoring his second goal of the season.

In the 80th minute, Liverpool regained the lead as Dominic Szoboszlai scored with a low shot from Ryan Gravenberch’s assist, making it 3-2.

However, Leeds did not give up. In injury time, in the 90+6th minute, a shot from Thana inside the box found the net for his second goal of the season, completing the comeback and leveling the score at 3-3.

This draw highlights Liverpool’s inconsistent performance this season.
