FIFA Announces Major Prize Increase for 2026 World Cup
FIFA has announced a significant 50% increase in the prize money for the 2026 World Cup. The tournament winner will receive a record $50 million (approximately ₹416 crore), up from $42 million in 2022. This edition will feature 48 teams and will take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The total prize pool is set at $727 million, with $655 million allocated to winners at various stages of the tournament and $72 million for other participating teams.
