The Indian women’s team achieved its first international victory by defeating the Maldives 11-1 in the opening match of the SAFF Futsal Championship at the Nonthaburi Stadium in Thailand. Khushbu Saroj scored four goals in quick succession at the 17th, 22nd, 24th, and 26th minutes. Mithila Ramani opened the scoring in the fourth minute, while Ritika Singh, Sonali Mondal, and Nishka Prakash each contributed two goals to the team’s impressive performance.
