India showcased their strength by defeating Nepal 8-1 in the 2026 SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship held at Nonthaburi Stadium in Thailand. Diti Kanungo was the star of the match, scoring four goals in the first half at the 4th, 4th, 13th, and 15th minutes, giving India a strong start. Ritika Singh added two more goals in the 22nd and 37th minutes. Nishka Prakash and Khushbu each contributed a goal as well.
