Lammens has quickly adjusted to life at United. His steady presence in goal has been noted, with some comparing him to Edwin van der Sar, who remains a favorite among fans from his time with Sir Alex Ferguson between 2005 and 2011.

Though Lammens is still adapting to the Premier League, he has already highlighted the 2-0 victory against Man City as his most memorable experience so far.

This match was one of three clean sheets he has achieved since joining, including strong showings against Sunderland and Newcastle. Discussing the City match, Lammens shared his thoughts with club media, as reported by ManUtd.com.

“Yeah [the atmosphere was the best],” he said. “I think it has to be one of the best, if not the best games I’ve been part of, just in every facet.

“Like defending, attacking, the amount of chances we created, not giving away any chances.

Lammens comments on the atmosphere at Elland Road

Another significant match was the 1-1 draw against Leeds at Elland Road. This rivalry often stirs strong emotions, but after the match, much focus was on Ruben Amorim’s dismissal.

Lammens gained important insights from that experience, not only because of the rivalry but also due to the game’s intensity.

“It was quite hostile [at Leeds], to be honest,” he said. “So it was also a special game, just too bad we couldn’t come away with the three points.

“It was a really nice game to play in, and a good experience for me to participate in such matches.

“I think if you can maintain your performance and play as you do at home, it’s a valuable lesson for a young goalkeeper. If you know you can perform well, you can do it almost anywhere.

“So yeah, it’s nice to know that as well.”
