Luton Town is competing for success in League One this season, currently ranked seventh in the English third tier after playing 29 matches.

With the January transfer window closing soon, Luton is looking to enhance their squad and improve their chances for a play-off finish.

This month, they have acquired Emilio Lawrence on loan from Manchester City and Kasey Palmer on loan from Hull City.

As the window nears its end, Luton may seek additional reinforcements.

The club has confirmed their latest signing, Devante Cole, who joins from Port Vale, where he played since the last summer transfer window.

After only a few months with Vale, he has now moved to Luton.

Cole is the son of footballer Andy Cole, who scored 121 goals during his time at Manchester United.

Regarding his signing, Cole shared on the Luton website: “It’s been a long week, but I’m very happy to get it over the line.

“Since I first learned about the interest, I wanted to be a Luton player, and I’m glad it’s finally happened.

“I’ve visited Kenilworth Road several times, and it’s always a tough venue for opposing teams. I’m looking forward to playing there with the fans supporting me.

“It helps to settle in quickly at a new club when you know familiar faces. I know Mads from Barnsley and Kal from Wigan, so I’m sure everything will be good. I’m eager to get started.”

Devante Cole might make his first appearance for Luton against Bradford City next weekend.
