Tottenham is struggling under Thomas Frank in the Premier League.

After Ange Postecoglou’s departure last summer, Tottenham was hopeful for improvement, especially following their Europa League success. The club invested around £180 million in new players such as Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons, and Randal Kolo Muani to boost their chances this season.

However, the team has underperformed this season. Players have struggled with consistency, and there seems to be a disconnect on the field, making it tough for Frank to communicate his strategies. As a result, Tottenham currently sits in the lower half of the Premier League standings.

So far this year, Tottenham has not secured a league victory. They have only managed two points from their last five matches against Burnley, West Ham, Bournemouth, Brentford, and Sunderland. It’s evident that Thomas Frank is facing challenges in getting the team back on track.

Thomas Frank’s team is not improving in the Premier League

Concerns are rising among supporters that Tottenham could be at risk of relegation if their form does not improve soon. They are just eight points ahead of the 18th-place team, West Ham. With tough matches against both Manchester clubs, Newcastle United, and Arsenal in the next few weeks, securing good results is crucial.

Frank has indicated he did not anticipate being in the bottom half of the table at this point. In a recent press conference, he said,

“No, I didn’t. I’m aware you always hope for more. In football, small things can lead to momentum, and sometimes they don’t. This season should be ambitious for Tottenham, but it is transitional.”

The Spurs manager continued,

“It is a transitional season where we need to do our best in every competition. I hoped we would be higher, and it’s fair to say we could have had six more points, which would change the conversation. Unfortunately, we haven’t. We need to keep going.”

Frank believes that his team has not built any real momentum this season, despite their ambitions. He reiterated that this is a transitional period while aiming for success in the Champions League and a better league position. He acknowledged that luck has not been on their side and urged his players to persist as they try to change the club’s situation.

Time is running out for Thomas Frank

Supporters have expressed their dissatisfaction with Frank frequently. He has faced boos and jeers after matches, with fans recently chanting for his dismissal during a game against Burnley.

Currently, the former Brentford coach has a challenging road ahead to regain the trust of Spurs fans. If results don’t improve, there is a strong chance he could be let go soon. The club’s leadership will have to decide on Frank’s future as he attempts to stabilize the situation this season.
