A recent report from Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna indicates that Arsenal is facing tough competition for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. The Gunners will need to compete with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Manchester United to secure the young French player this year.
Bouaddi’s Impressive Form In French Football
Bouaddi has been performing well for Lille, showcasing his skills in the midfield. The 18-year-old has recorded one assist in 25 matches across all competitions this season.
The young midfielder has made his mark by averaging 0.87 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1, hitting the target with 33.3% of his attempts (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract with Lille is set to expire in the summer of 2029. As such, Arsenal will need to present a strong offer if they wish to bring him to the Emirates Stadium at the end of this season.
