The 2026 NBA All-Stars were announced on Sunday. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been selected, despite some worries about his reserve status due to having played in only 30 of the Lakers’ first 47 games.

LeBron James takes part in his 22nd consecutive All-Star Game

James has consistently been an All-Star, but this season raised questions about his selection. His performance when fit remains strong, and his popularity was a decisive factor.

He is averaging 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game. With this selection, James now has 22 All-Star appearances, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar by three. He did not make the All-Star team in his rookie year, but has been selected every year since.

This year’s game will follow a USA vs. The World format, featuring one team of international players and two teams from the United States. The final rosters will be announced on Tuesday.

The game is scheduled for February 15 at the Intuit Dome, home to the Los Angeles Clippers.
