Chelsea is not expected to make many signings before the transfer deadline, but several players might leave. One potential departure is heading to Crystal Palace.
Chelsea has struggled in their search for a defender. Jeremy Jacquet is likely to join Liverpool in the summer, and their bid for Nantes’ Tylel Tati was rejected. There are no new midfielders lined up either.
However, a few players are set to leave before the 7 PM deadline. Aaron Anselmino and David Fofana are both expected to go on loan to Strasbourg, with Fofana replacing Emmanuel Emegha.
Axel Disasi could move to West Ham before the deadline, and Jimi Touriainen and Harry McGlinchey are also in line to leave. Charlie Austin has mentioned another player who may move to Selhurst Park.

After Marc Guehi’s transfer to Man City, Crystal Palace is looking for a new defender. They have yet to sign anyone but this could change soon.
During an appearance on Sky Sports, former Premier League player Charlie Austin supported a possible move for Acheampong from Chelsea.
Austin stated: “You don’t want to look back and think ‘what if?’ Perhaps there is a deal to be made with Chelsea for Josh Acheampong. Chelsea and Palace have done business before, so it wouldn’t be surprising.”
Why Josh Acheampong may consider leaving Chelsea
Despite interest from Crystal Palace and Bayern Munich, Chelsea has reportedly said Acheampong is not available for transfer this month. However, as the window continues, he may look to move.
The defender has only played in two of Liam Rosenior’s seven matches, and Mamadou Sarr may be recalled from Strasbourg. Malo Gusto is fit again, and Tosin is expected back soon.
With fewer chances to play, Acheampong understands he needs regular game time to grow. While he might not start every match, consistent minutes are important for his development.
Although Chelsea is cautious about letting one of their academy talents go, a loan deal could work if it allows the England youth international to get valuable playing time until the season ends.
