Wife of late Man United player Joe Thompson shares pregnancy news

Thompson’s wife recently announced her pregnancy in a message reported by The Sun, discussing the journey that led to this moment.

“After the hardest year of our lives, we have the most incredible news to share… We are expecting a baby Thompson. After losing Joe and our baby boy at 40 weeks, I didn’t know what the future would hold,” she said.

Chantelle added, “Going through the IVF journey with Dre has now given me the opportunity to use a frozen embryo from my previous IVF round.”

She continued, “Joe and I often talked about having more children. He told me a baby would come and even shared the name.”

Her words show both the sadness of loss and the strength to move forward.

Joe Thompson passed away in 2025 after a lengthy battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy marked by resilience and football.

Finding hope after loss

Reflecting on her decision, Chantelle mentioned feeling guided even though Joe is no longer physically present.

“Deep in my soul, I know this was the right path, and everything is unfolding as it should,” she stated.

“This journey has been different without Joe by my side, but we feel his presence, guiding us and supporting us in spirit,” she concluded.

Her announcement has touched many who followed Joe’s journey. While the pain of loss remains, the pregnancy symbolizes hope and continuity.

For the Thompson family, it is a reminder that even after great sadness, life can find a way to move forward.
