James Harden has entered the trade discussions as the February 5 deadline approaches.

The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly collaborating with Harden to secure a trade before Thursday. ESPN’s Shams Charania has indicated that Harden is in agreement with the Clippers’ management while exploring potential trades with other teams.

Harden, a former MVP, has been absent from the last two games for personal reasons. The latest reports suggest that these reasons involve his desire to be traded.

This development surprises many, given the Clippers’ recent success. After a rocky 6-21 start, the team has been on a winning streak, claiming 17 victories in their last 21 games, bringing them closer to a .500 record.
