Tottenham may target a centre-back from South America this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur has faced significant injury challenges recently, impacting the team’s performance under Thomas Frank.
The injury list expanded over the weekend as Kevin Danso and Djed Spence were ruled out for the match against Manchester City at home. Cristian Romero left the game against Manchester City at half-time due to illness, while Micky van de Ven has missed the last two matches with a minor issue.
Romero and Van de Ven form one of the strongest centre-back partnerships in the Premier League and have attracted interest from top European clubs. Real Madrid has made a massive €100m offer for Romero, while Liverpool is interested in signing Van de Ven this summer.
Tottenham has a promising young centre-back in Luka Vuskovic, currently on loan at SV Hamburger, but it seems the club is already planning for the future beyond this season.
