The Golden State Warriors are considering trading Draymond Green to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo.

According to Anthony Slater of ESPN, Green is part of ongoing trade talks between the Warriors and other teams. His name is connected to potential deals with the Milwaukee Bucks for Antetokounmpo.

For the Warriors to land Antetokounmpo, they must include either Green or Jimmy Butler to match salaries. Green’s contract is seen as easier to move, and the Bucks seem more interested in him than Butler.

Traditionally, Green has been a key player for the Warriors, but the situation changes when a star like Antetokounmpo becomes available. His name did not emerge in discussions until recently when the Bucks showed a willingness to trade him. Green himself has played down these rumors.

This season, the Warriors view themselves as having one last opportunity to win another championship with Steph Curry. With that goal in mind, significant changes are possible.

Currently, Green is averaging 8.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season.
