Tottenham faced a disappointing end to the January transfer window.

With Tottenham Hotspur yet to secure a Premier League win in 2026 and Thomas Frank’s future in question, there were expectations for significant investment during the transfer window. However, that did not occur.

The club made only a couple of signings this winter. One of the new players is unlikely to have a major impact initially as he adjusts to the Premier League’s demands. The other addition has the potential to be a smart long-term choice for the team.

Strengthening the forward and midfield areas was crucial for the north London side as they entered the January transfer window. The lack of more signings, beyond Conor Gallagher and Souza, leaves the squad vulnerable for the rest of the season, which includes challenges in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
