Raheem Sterling is on the hunt for a new club following the mutual termination of his Chelsea contract last month, with discussions underway with a team in the Champions League.

Sterling made his move to Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 for just under £50 million, driven by high hopes after his successful tenure with Pep Guardiola.

However, his time at Chelsea didn’t meet expectations. Things deteriorated further when Enzo Maresca became manager in 2024, indicating that Sterling was not part of his plans or style.

After a loan spell at Arsenal last season, Sterling was left out of Chelsea’s Premier League squad this year. With 18 months remaining on his contract, he is still without a club.
