The New York Knicks made a trade, but it did not involve Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Knicks traded for point guard Jose Alvarado from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Dalen Terry, two second-round draft picks, and cash, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

Following the trade news, Fred Katz from The Athletic reported that Miles McBride would need surgery for a core muscle injury and might be out until the playoffs.

McBride has been with the Knicks for his entire five-year NBA career and is enjoying his best season so far.

As of Thursday, McBride has played in 35 games, averaging 12.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds while playing just over 28 minutes per game.
