Luis Enrique has had a remarkable career as a football manager, achieving great success with Barcelona and PSG.
While at Barcelona, he won nine trophies in just three years, including the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, two La Liga titles, and four other domestic trophies.
In 2017, he left Camp Nou for the Spanish national team, before moving to PSG in 2023.
Since joining PSG, he has added two Ligue 1 titles to their collection and secured their first-ever Champions League trophy.
Recently, there have been rumors that he might leave PSG to become Manchester United’s next permanent manager.
After Ruben Amorim was fired in January 2026, Michael Carrick took over as caretaker manager until a permanent replacement is found.
It was believed that a top manager would be hired by the end of the season, with Enrique being a key candidate for the position.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, he has decided against joining Manchester United.
The report states that United had targeted Enrique in hopes of attracting him from Paris.
Yet, he feels that becoming the permanent manager at Old Trafford is not the right choice for him, and he is now considering a contract extension with PSG.
Discussions are ongoing about a new contract that could keep him with the Ligue 1 champions until 2030.
