Manchester United‘s connection with UA92 has strengthened with a key board appointment.
UA92 has evolved from a project linked to the Class of ’92 into a recognized higher education institution in Greater Manchester, established alongside Lancaster University and supported by notable figures associated with United.
The influence of Manchester United is evident through Gary Neville’s involvement and the broader Class of ’92 narrative, as the institution emphasizes job readiness and connections to various industries.
This link has intensified recently, with Old Trafford now involved in UA92’s activities. Teaching areas within the stadium will enhance the student experience with a unique United backdrop.
The latest development involves a significant executive appointment. Collette Roche, who is also the chief executive for new stadium development at Manchester United, has joined the UA92 board, according to Insider Media.
This announcement comes shortly after United agreed to offer teaching spaces for UA92 at Old Trafford.
Additionally, UA92 has reported its first positive EBITDA, with a revenue increase of 26 percent, totaling £14.8 million, along with an EBITDA of £200,000—reflecting a £1.1 million improvement compared to the previous year.
The student enrollment has also risen by 30 percent, reaching 1,217, with graduate outcomes indicating that 91 percent of students advance into jobs or further study.
After her appointment, Collette Roche said, “UA92’s mission to broaden access to higher education and develop ready-to-work talent resonates with me.”
She added, “Being on the board allows me to contribute to an organization that is genuinely impactful, and I feel proud to be part of it.”
As critical decisions regarding infrastructure and the future of the club unfold, discussions now encompass education, community involvement, and pathways for talent development.
