Xavi Simons helped Tottenham draw 2-2 with Manchester City at home.
Tottenham Hotspur fans had something to cheer about as their team made a remarkable comeback to draw against Manchester City.
Manchester City dominated the first half and deserved their 2-0 lead. The score could have been worse for Spurs, who were missing several key players due to injury. To make matters worse, captain Cristian Romero had to leave the game at half-time due to illness, forcing coach Thomas Frank to switch to a back four.
After the break, Tottenham’s attack became much more vibrant. Many players improved in the second half, especially Xavi Simons, who impressed with his dribbling and passing.
The 22-year-old was instrumental in midfield, playing with energy and direction, creating problems for Manchester City. He worked well with his teammates and provided an assist for Dominic Solanke’s controversial first goal.
