The NBA All-Star weekend begins this Friday with an unexpected addition. Damian Lillard, a two-time Three-Point Contest champion, will participate for the fourth consecutive year. Lillard hasn’t played this season for the Portland Trail Blazers as he recovers from a torn achilles.
Lillard is still under 10 months post-surgery for the injury he sustained against the Indiana Pacers. At 35 years old, he has the opportunity to become only the third player to win this event three times.
