Rio Ferdinand highlighted how Lisandro Martinez is assisting his teammates with the changes made by Michael Carrick at Manchester United.

While Michael Carrick hasn’t drastically changed things at Manchester United, the team has seen improved results under his management. The 44-year-old club legend has clearly made an impact since taking the helm.

One key change is that United now start matches with a back four instead of using three centre-backs and two wing-backs. There is also better balance in midfield, with Casemiro partnered by Kobbie Mainoo, allowing Bruno Fernandes to play in his preferred No. 10 position.

These changes have led to a four-match winning streak since Carrick took over as head coach for the remainder of the season. The strong performance has raised questions about whether he should be considered for the job permanently.

With plenty of matches still to come, Carrick and his team need to remain focused and continue building on their recent success to secure a place in the Champions League for next season.
