Tottenham Seeks Midfield Help This Summer

Igor Tudor has stepped in as interim manager for Tottenham Hotspur as the team struggles in the lower half of the Premier League table.

Currently, Spurs are in 16th place and face the risk of relegation. The team has not performed well this season, leading to the dismissal of Thomas Frank earlier this week. Tudor’s appointment aims to stabilize the team and ensure they remain in the Premier League.

It’s important for Tottenham to finish the season on a positive note to attract quality players in the summer. The squad has several issues to address as they prepare for the 2025/26 season, particularly the need for more creativity and energy in the midfield. Plans are reportedly in motion to make necessary improvements.

Tottenham Watching Arda Guler’s Situation at Real Madrid

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Arda Guler is evaluating his future at Real Madrid due to uncertainty around the club’s management. Often referred to as the ‘next Mesut Ozil’, Guler appears dissatisfied with his current role at Santiago Bernabeu, putting Tottenham and other clubs on alert.

AC Milan and Juventus are also interested in Guler, along with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, as he seeks more playing time. Despite opportunities while Jude Bellingham is injured, Guler has faced frequent substitutions and a lack of trust from interim manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

The report states that Guler feels his growth has stagnated this season. The 20-year-old has formally asked Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, to disclose the name of the next manager before he decides whether to remain at the club or explore other options.

Tottenham is closely monitoring Guler’s situation. His skills, including technical ability and versatility, make him an attractive prospect. However, it seems unlikely that Real Madrid will allow him to leave this summer.

Real Madrid successfully signed Guler from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023, and they are not expected to entertain offers for him. Perez views Guler as a key part of the club’s future. For now, Spurs will continue to observe the midfielder’s performance and hope for a potential opportunity to recruit him in the summer.
