LeBron James continues to demonstrate that age is just a number.
As he enters his 23rd NBA season, James remains a key player, showing no signs of slowing down. He is still starting and consistently outplaying younger defenders.
James has acknowledged that recovery and preparation have changed for him over the years. However, he is far from considering retirement. Ahead of the 2026 All-Star Game, he addressed those queries with an unexpected response.
“I want to live. When I know, you guys will know. I don’t know. I have no idea. I just want to live. That’s all.”
He has not set a retirement date nor made any commitments about his future, leaving the discussion open as the questions continue to arise.
