The 2025/26 FA Cup fourth round is nearing its conclusion. Here’s our selected team of the round XI this week.
There weren’t many upsets in the fourth round, apart from Mansfield Town’s surprising victory over Burnley. Other than that, it was a fairly straightforward round.
Big wins were posted by Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. Do you agree with our picks for the XI?
GK: Lucas Perri
The only penalty shoot-out in this round featured Leeds United’s Lucas Perri, who stood out in the match against Birmingham City after extra time.
He made a crucial save against Tommy Doyle, and after Patrick Roberts missed his chance, Leeds advanced to the next round.
RB: Kyle Knoyle
Mansfield Town continued their impressive run in the FA Cup, having eliminated Sheffield United in the last round and looking for another big win.
Kyle Knoyle effectively marked Jacob Bruun Larsen and assisted Rhys Oates for the equalising goal. His performance showcased skills comparable to the Premier League despite his experience in lower leagues.
CB: Marc Guehi
Marc Guehi faced minimal challenge as Manchester City faced League Two’s Salford City, but he performed well regardless.
He scored the second goal and helped keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory, making City’s defense more solid with his presence.
CB: Harry Darling
Norwich City has struggled in the Championship this season, yet they applied their recent good form to the FA Cup.
Though he didn’t keep a clean sheet, Harry Darling provided a well-placed header assist for Paris Maghoma’s goal.
LB: Milos Kerkez
Milos Kerkez has faced criticism this season, but he delivered a strong performance against Brighton.
The Hungarian kept a clean sheet and recorded an assist in a 3-0 win, showcasing his best display since joining the team.
CM: Sandro Tonali
With Bruno Guimaraes injured, Sandro Tonali stepped up for Newcastle, delivering a standout performance against ten-man Aston Villa.
He scored two goals to help Newcastle bounce back after starting the match on the back foot.
CM: Oliver Skipp
Oliver Skipp earns a spot in the XI for his amazing overhead kick in Leicester City’s match against Southampton.
Despite Leicester’s 2-1 loss in extra time, that goal will be remembered by fans who saw it.
RW: Pedro Neto
Pedro Neto had a mixed season but was in top form during Chelsea’s clash with Hull City.
After missing early chances, he took control of the game and scored a hat-trick, providing a nostalgic moment for Liam Rosenior at his old club.
AM: Anis Ben Slimane
Anis Ben Slimane came on as a late substitute in Norwich vs West Brom and made a significant impact.
He assisted twice, helping Norwich advance to the fifth round while West Brom continues to struggle this season.
LW: Eberechi Eze
Eberechi Eze also had a productive weekend, providing two assists as Arsenal dominated Wigan Athletic.
By the 27th minute, Arsenal was already up 4-0, and Eze’s creativity was a key factor.
ST: Rhys Oates
Rhys Oates solidified his status as a Mansfield Town hero by scoring a key equaliser against Burnley in their fourth-round match.
Louis Reed later scored the winner, marking Mansfield as a surprise team this season, unless Macclesfield can pull off an upset against Brentford later tonight.
