Recently, Bellingham named his favorite sporting moment from 2025, which was not related to football.

Jude Bellingham says the French Open Men’s Singles final was his favorite moment from 2025

According to The Tennis Letter, Bellingham picked Carlos Alcaraz’s win at the French Open as his top sporting moment of 2025.

Bellingham stated, “Watching the Alcaraz-Sinner final at the French Open was the most engaged I’ve felt in a sports moment I wasn’t part of.”

In an exciting match, Alcaraz came from two sets down against Sinner to win 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6.

Alcaraz notably saved three championship points in the fourth set before winning.

This victory marked Alcaraz’s second French Open title and his fifth Grand Slam overall. He has since won two more Grand Slams at the US Open and Australian Open.

Alcaraz may face Daniil Medvedev or Andrey Rublev in the Doha semi-finals, with a possible final match against Jannik Sinner.

What did Carlos Alcaraz say after the French Open final?

“The match isn’t finished until the last point is won,” Alcaraz said after winning the title. “There are many instances where players come back from match points down in Grand Slam finals.”

“I aimed to be one of those players who saved match point in a Grand Slam final and managed to win.”

“I always believed in myself. Even when facing match points, I focused on one point at a time.”

“There were incredible moments in the match,” Sinner noted. “I prepared for the Grand Slam by reaching the final in another clay tournament. It’s hard to accept now, but that’s the nature of the sport.”

“While it’s disappointing, focusing solely on the negatives won’t help. I’ve improved as a player over the past year, which is something positive to build on,” Sinner added.

“Playing against Jannik at such a high level was challenging. I often wondered, ‘What else can I do?’ He was clearly on fire today.”
