Spurs Must Achieve ‘This’ for Igor Tudor to Secure Permanent Position, Says Tim Sherwood.
Tim Sherwood has been clear about the challenges facing Igor Tudor as he takes on a tough role in English football. With Thomas Frank dismissed and Tottenham in a precarious position, Tudor will serve as interim manager until the season ends. It’s a temporary situation, and Sherwood made that evident.
Tudor’s history in management does not suggest a long-term solution. His longest tenure was at Hajduk Split from 2013 to 2015, where he won the Croatian Cup, his only significant title. Since then, he has held multiple short-term roles, including at Juventus, without significant success. Tottenham plans a refresh in the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino likely the preferred choice if conditions permit.
Sherwood’s viewpoint was straightforward. He believes Tudor would need to achieve near perfection to have a chance at remaining in the role. According to him, this means winning the Champions League and nearly all remaining Premier League matches.
