Luis Enrique is reportedly a top candidate to succeed Michael Carrick as Manchester United‘s permanent head coach.
Michael Carrick has had a solid start, keeping Manchester United unbeaten in his first five games as interim head coach.
However, Luis Enrique brings a different style and valuable experience from European football that could appeal to Ineos.

Enrique has shown interest in managing in the Premier League, but persuading him to leave Paris Saint-Germain would be challenging for Ineos.
Wayne Rooney, in a talk on The Overlap, suggested that United should prioritize Carrick over pursuing well-known European managers, emphasizing Carrick’s strong connections to the club.
“I’ve seen managers come and go, like Mourinho and Van Gaal, and felt that they didn’t work out,” Rooney said.
“Carrick feels right. From the moment I knew he was taking charge, I could sense his calming presence.”
“We sometimes overlook what’s in front of us, thinking a foreign manager will solve everything, but they might not care about the club. Carrick can help build a strong foundation for the team moving forward.”
