The Tottenham talent has been thriving on loan in the Bundesliga.

Tottenham Hotspur has appointed Igor Tudor as interim boss until the season ends, just two days after firing Thomas Frank. While some fans welcomed this change as the team sits at 16th in the league, others are less enthusiastic about Tudor’s leadership.

The 47-year-old has not completed more than 78 games in charge of any club since he began his managerial career in 2012. His recent roles have been more about managing crises, and his appointment hasn’t inspired much confidence among supporters.

With the team unlikely to achieve a spot in European competitions next season unless they win the Champions League, former scout Bryan King suggests that several top players may leave in the summer. This includes not just those in the current squad but also talented players out on loan, such as Luka Vuskovic.

Barcelona plot summer swoop for Luka Vuskovic

Vuskovic, currently on loan at SV Hamburger in the Bundesliga, is attracting attention from major clubs. Tottenham intended for the young player to gain first-team experience at a high level, and his development in the Bundesliga has been encouraging.

Vuskovic has been a key player for SV Hamburger, starting nearly every league match this season and scoring four goals, including one in a recent match against Bayern Munich. His performance against the German giants caught the eye of notable figures like Lothar Matthaus.

At Tottenham, he is regarded as an important future asset. However, interest from European clubs is growing, with his value now at €40 million. A report from Spanish source Fichajes indicates that Barcelona is interested, with sporting director Deco impressed by Vuskovic’s competitive maturity at just 18 years old.

Barcelona is considering various defenders, including Nico Schlotterbeck and Alessandro Bastoni, but Vuskovic has entered their sights as well. His skills, strength, game awareness, and ability to score make him a fitting candidate to strengthen Barcelona’s defense.

Tottenham sees Vuskovic as a valuable part of their future and will only entertain significant offers during the summer. Barcelona’s interest appears serious, with Deco believing Vuskovic could develop into one of Europe’s top central defenders.

Tottenham cannot afford to lose Vuskovic

With players like Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, and Radu Dragusin already in defense, loaning out Vuskovic last year was a sound choice. He is seen as a player for Tottenham’s future, and with a long-term contract, the club isn’t in a rush to sell him.

As rumors swirl about the potential departure of captain Cristian Romero at the end of the season, Vuskovic’s role will become increasingly important. His reputation is growing at White Hart Lane, and he could emerge as a key figure in Tottenham’s defense next season.
