This has left them with limited options on the left side, and the remaining players lack pace, which Slot is not satisfied with.
The manager has talked about wanting to increase speed in the front line, making comparisons to the speed at PSG.
After adding Hugo Ekitike, Slot mentioned, “He’s a good finisher and comfortable on the ball. But what I notice is that he’s one of our fastest players.”
“Last season against Paris Saint-Germain, we faced players like [Ousmane] Dembele, [Bradley] Barcola, and [Desire] Doue – all exceptionally fast. That’s the kind of speed we are aiming to add with him.”
