On the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke noted that Leeds United is interested in signing Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney. O’Rourke stated,

“Hayden Hackney’s future will be a major topic of discussion this summer.

“Last summer, he was close to leaving Middlesbrough but ultimately chose to stay instead of moving to Ipswich.

“Several clubs were monitoring him, but Middlesbrough successfully kept him, and their efforts paid off as Hackney has played a crucial role in their promotion push to the Premier League.

“Middlesbrough is keen to retain Hackney. Should they achieve promotion, they would hope to keep the England Under-21 midfielder.

“However, if they do not secure promotion, retaining him will be challenging. Leeds and other Premier League clubs like Everton are interested in Hackney.

“There are even rumors that Manchester United might show interest, and Fulham also appreciates the player.”

Hackney’s Impressive Numbers In The EFL Championship

Hackney has delivered solid performances for Middlesbrough this season. He has scored five goals and provided six assists in 35 matches across all competitions so far.
