John Terry felt relieved earlier this season when Chelsea’s record of 15 goals conceded remained intact. He believes that Reece James and Thiago Silva would have fitted into that famous defense.

The 2004/05 season is remembered as one of the strongest defensive performances in Premier League history. Under Jose Mourinho, Chelsea achieved a remarkable 25 clean sheets in 38 matches, allowing only 15 goals and winning the title.

The defensive lineup of Petr Cech, Paulo Ferreira, John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, and William Gallas, who played out of position as left-back, is still considered one of the best. Wayne Bridge also played a vital role during that season.

This record remains unbroken and is unlikely to be challenged soon. Terry mentioned that he was concerned at times this season that Arsenal might match it but felt relief when they did not.
