Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has recently suggested that Mikey Moore could sign a permanent contract after his loan deal ends this summer. The Tottenham Hotspur teenager has been an important part of Rangers’ success under Danny Rohl, impressing with his skills on the field.

“I really like him centrally. I think he’s so dangerous. But the great thing about him is that the young man can play either flank. But when he plays that floating role in behind the striker, he’s so dangerous.”

Ferguson spoke to GO Radio (as noted by The Daily Record), highlighting the 18-year-old’s effectiveness in attack. However, he thinks it may be challenging for Rangers to keep him due to his growth at Ibrox.

Moore was not part of Thomas Frank’s plans, but with the manager’s recent departure, there could be a chance for him at Spurs. Rangers may have to exceed their club record to pursue Moore, and Celtic legend Peter Grant believes that he will likely remain in Scotland on a permanent basis, expecting a significant profit from a future sale.

Why Moore Might Not Get Enough Playing Time at Spurs

The 18-year-old England youth international advanced through Tottenham’s academy and made his senior debut in May 2024. At just 16 years and 277 days, he became the youngest player to feature in the Premier League for the club. Under then-manager Ange Postecoglou, Moore made 17 first-team appearances during the 2024-25 season, including five in the Europa League, contributing to the team’s success. He signed a long-term contract before accepting the loan to Rangers for the season.
