Nashville SC scored two goals in the first half, increasing their aggregate lead and winning 5-0 against Atletico Ottawa on Tuesday. This secured a 7-0 victory in their CONCACAF Champions Cup first-round series.

Nashville will advance to face Inter Miami, the reigning MLS Cup champions, in the Round of 16.

In the 21st minute, Matthew Corcoran delivered a cross into the box, where Woobens Pacius’ header was saved, but Alex Muyl scored from the rebound, giving Nashville a 3-0 aggregate advantage.

Fifteen minutes later, Corcoran sent a long pass to Jordan Knight, who was running alone on the right. Knight scored with a right-footed shot that beat the goalkeeper.

Pacius added a goal in the 55th minute, followed by Jack Maher in the 63rd, and Ahmed Qasem in the 83rd minute, completing the scoring.

In another match, Los Angeles FC won 1-0 against Real Espana.

Nkosi Tafari scored the only goal in the 64th minute, contributing to LAFC’s 7-1 aggregate win.

LAFC previously secured a 6-1 victory in Honduras on February 17 and will now face Costa Rica’s Alajuelense in the Round of 16.

The goal occurred during a set piece when Tyler Boyd’s free kick reached the back post. Timothy Tillman’s shot was saved by Real Espana’s goalie, Luis Lopez, but Tafari recovered the rebound and scored from close range.

Los Angeles FC’s goalkeeper Thomas Hasal made two saves during the match.
