Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons have been performing well in the Eastern Conference this season. However, it was Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs who won their game in Detroit on Monday night.
The Spurs had a solid game, with Devin Vassell scoring 28 points and Stephon Castle recording the most assists with 11. Wembanyama also made a significant impact, scoring 21 points, grabbing 17 rebounds, and blocking six shots, helping San Antonio secure their ninth consecutive victory.
Having missed the playoffs in Wembanyama’s first two seasons, the Spurs are currently just 2.5 games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the top position in the Western Conference, with 25 games remaining in the regular season.
